The Yellow Boat of Hope Foundation proudly announces HOPE Summit 2.0, a two-day flagship event that will bring together Hope Paddlers—community leaders, educators, and volunteers from YBH-adopted Last Mile Schools and remote communities across the Philippines, as well as co-founders of our counterparts from USA and Indonesia. The summit will be held on May 5-6, 2025, at the Unilab Bayanihan Center, Mandaluyong City.
This is the second iteration of the HOPE Summit, with the first one held in 2019. The initial summit gathered volunteers from across the Philippines and the United States to inspire each other, share stories, and learn best practices in supporting children who previously had to swim to school in remote communities.
HOPE Summit 2.0 marks a special milestone as the Foundation celebrates its 15th year of making waves of hope and transforming lives through education since its founding in 2010. This anniversary underscores the Foundation’s enduring commitment to ensuring no Filipino child is left behind.
With the inspiring theme “Sustaining Hope, Empowering Generations,” HOPE Summit 2.0 aims to equip, empower, and inspire our dedicated volunteers by fostering collaboration, sharing best practices, and strengthening our shared mission to break the cycle of intergenerational poverty through education.
Key figures in the education, non-profit, and development sectors, such as Department of Education Secretary Sonny Angara, will be delivering inspiring messages, facilitating informative workshops, and engaging in insightful panel discussions throughout the summit. These sessions will offer practical implementation techniques, share valuable lessons learned, and create spaces for meaningful dialogue to further empower our Hope Paddlers.

The summit is made possible in part through the prize money awarded to the Foundation at the 2024 .ORG Impact Awards, where it was distinguished as 2024 .ORG of the Year and honored with the Quality Education for All award among 1,700 global entries, both presented by the Public Interest Registry.
Unilab Inc. graciously serves as the main sponsor, providing both the venue and meals for the attendees. Jollibee, Century Pacific Food Group Inc., and Nature’s Spring have generously contributed food and refreshments for the summit as well. The official residence for participants is the Red Planet Hotel Ortigas.
