MANILA, Philippines – Labor leaders Leody de Guzman and Luke Espiritu kicked off their senatorial campaign with a proclamation rally at Bantayog ng mga Bayani in Quezon City on Sunday, February 16.
Their proclamation rally comes almost a week since the official campaign period for national elective aspirants for the 2025 midterms began on Tuesday, February 11.
Ahead of Sunday’s program, Rappler’s Iya Gozum was able to speak to both candidates. De Guzman noted how some politicians had been in and out of the Senate but still failed to come up with solutions to address the country’s woes:
